Kh-22 missiles fired by Russian Tu-22M3 bombers have burned down hundreds of square meters of property in Odesa. Four people sustained light injuries. According to telegram channel @our_odessa the attack destroyed a coastal recreation center. A similar attack occurred three weeks prior, after a grain export deal was signed.
Both the Kh-22 and Tupolev Tu-22M are considered obsolete. The Kh-22 boasts impressive range (600km), speed and payload. Though its poor accuracy limits is effectiveness. Weapons with low, or no guidance aren’t just ineffective, they also pose a greater danger to non-combatants.
